Why not come to a few of our rehearsals? It costs nothing to come and see. You’ll be made very welcome and we won’t pressure you to join until you’re sure.
There’s plenty of other ways to get involved. We always need help back stage – with scenery, props, make-up etc. In the theatre during the week of the show we need help with merchandise, programme sales and much more.
We always rehearse at the Pier Pavilion Theatre, Pier Parade, South Shields, Tyne and Wear,NE33 2JS
As with our rehearsals we stage ALL our shows at the Pier Pavilion Theatre, Pier Parade, South Shields, Tyne and Wear, NE33 2JS
We rehearse for each production on weekday evenings (Production Director sets the timetable), for most of the year, except August and over Christmas. As we get close to a production we hold additional evening rehearsals. If you do not want to perform on stage, you can just come along and help at either rehearsals or during the week of the show. It will be very busy, of course, during the week of the production, but its only in the evening, as most volunteers are at work during the days, if not retired, at school, college, or university.
We host several events throughout the year for our members, giving them the chance to experience new writing, opportunity to meet new members and to get more involved in their theatre.
